The 5 images above are from Mr. Simon Shaws Grandfathers collection. The 2 documents are letters of commendation for her crew for the assistance given to

the Civil Population of Chile during an "Earthquake" in 1939, only a couple of months before she took part in the battle with the German Pocket Battleship

"Admiral Graf Spee".
