"Miscellaneous" Craft. - 24 Boats. ( 30 Photos.).

I have tried to place these photos into some form of  order and to keep them together in their "Classes".

Most of the photos in this section are by courtesy of Mr. Mark Teadham.

My thanks also to Cdr. Simon Brown R.N. for information, shown in brackets, against a ships name showing its "Class",
and also again to Mr. Tim Parr for the information concerning boats No.15 through to No. 21.
These craft, with the prefix "Rcb" against their No.s., indicates that they were converted for use as "Radio Controlled Boats" and were used as "Bombing Targets".
An ingenious part of their design was the steel deck being held by "Shear Pins" to the hull which, in the event of damage to the vessel,
would break and allow the complete deck and superstructure to fall away thus saving the hull,
which had been provided with extra buoyancy, and its engines.

Tim is happy to have his e-mail address displayed here, so, if there is anything you would wish to talk to him about
concerning any of the craft shown in these sections, feel free to drop him a line from the e-mail link below:-
