Photo 1 above left is the "Super Dreadnought" HMS Orion of 1910. She was the 1st in her class, and the first to have all her 13.5" guns on the centreline.
The other photo is of the "Leander Class" light cruiser HMS Orion from 1937. She served with distinction throughout WW11, and is reputed to have fired the first shell during the "Normandy landings" of June 6th 1944.
